The Sun isn’t God, but it is the best image of Him in Nature, and He made it to be a sign of Himself. On this planet there are solar-oriented cultures that regard The Sun as the object most worthy of reverence such as Egypt and Japan. These cultures exhibit a primordial philosophical brilliance by correctly discerning the exalted status of The Sun, and we become like that upon which we meditate, so the Men of these cultures took on a solar nature. The solar nature is nobility, courage, magnanimity, generosity, equanimity, justice, wisdom, and a love for all honourable things. These cultures are closer to The Truth than cultures which regard other features of the natural world such as The Earth or The Moon as the highest. Some cultures even regard something that they consume for sustenance to be the highest, and we know that these are among the lowest cultures, cultures that only revolve around gratification of desire. For instance, some tribes among the Pueblo people revere a goddess called The Corn Mother or Iyatiku as the most popular deity, she lives underground and provides corn. This is a low and base culture compared to praising the mysterious solar and imperial Amon-Ra or Ameterasu.
It is hard for even the wisest among the fallen humanity of this dark age to discern the great chain of causation back to The Panentheistic God without a Divine Revelation from that very Being, but many cultures came very close, and the cultures that revered The Sun as the highest of objects in Nature came closest to intuitively discerning the nature of God. A rare few among the humanity of this wretched Kali-Yuga discerned through their own superior reason that there is The Good from whence all other goods derive, as Plato did, or that there is an Unmoved Mover from whom comes all other movements, as Aristotle did. But neither of those two great men discovered that The Good is alive, more alive than we are, neither of them knew that The Unmoved Mover is actively involved in the history of humankind making many new movements. But God used what Plato and Aristotle were right about to draw many great souls back to Himself during the time of Christianity’s rise, though the Christians made many errors themselves over issues that Plato was more right about, in particular the issue of the pre-existence of the soul. In general, following philosophical-theological systems like Christianity or Platonism can only get one so far, and the true quester after Truth must learn to see religious systems as servants rather than masters.
The Sun is indeed very much like God though it isn’t God. By being able to see abundantly from its high seat in the heavens it is evocative of God’s omniscience, by being felt everywhere all over the world it is evocative of God’s omnipresence, by shining on the just and the unjust alike it is evocative of God’s omnibenevolence, and by bestowing generously life-giving force as well as scorching infernal death it is evocative of God’s omnipotence. In its self-caused luminosity and glory it is evocative of God’s eternally self-existent divine glory. By banishing darkness instantly upon its arrival it is evocative of God’s justice and supreme power to destroy evil. The Sun in its shifting of day and night is a form of cosmic order/Dharma, and indeed God loves order, and He creates order, so this is evocative of His Nature as a Divine Lawgiver. By nourishing all living beings from on high with its light it is evocative of God’s providential care for all beings and His active involvement in history as the ultimate sustainer of all beings. By causing pleasure in those who feel its light, The Sun is evocative of the fact that God is the ultimate source of all pleasure and that drawing near to Him is the telos of all living creatures. If we get too close to the Sun we are burned up, and this is evocative of the fact that the impure cannot come into His Presence without being destroyed: “But you may not see the glory of my face, for man may not see me and live” (Exodus 33:20).
The eternal spirits presently incarnated as humanity that entered this world forgot about God, and this world is stained by that ignorance. But the best among these humans formed cultures that beheld The Sun and were thus dimly reminded of God, their origin and their purpose. So it was His Plan, to leave behind a sign of Himself in this marvellous and bewitching material universe that He made.
Life comes from Light. Our Eternal Spirits are but co-eternal droplets in the ocean of light that is God’s eternally self-existent luminous Being. Our physical bodies which our spirits have entered and indeed this whole material creation we now inhabit are nourished by the physical light of The Sun. If we could see our own spirits plainly we would see that we ourselves are made of light, to say nothing of how it would appear to us if we could see The Transcendental Lord as He is in Himself.
The spiritually minded have always seen in The Sun a metaphor, albeit a somewhat imperfect one, an image of Himself that He has made in The Cosmos. For God wanted to leave behind a sign of Himself in this material cosmos, so that those separated from Him by their own ignorance would have a loving and awe-inspiring reminder of His Presence. How blessed are we mortals to live under the rays of The Sun! It’s luminosity is a gift from Him. When The Sun shines on your face and you delight in its warmth that is one of the myriad ways that God reminds you of His Love through The Creation that He has made, His love for you as a unique being. The Sun’s presence is delightful, and God’s presence is infinitely delightful for the righteous who are worthy of being in His Presence.
Cultures that exulted The Sun as the highest always associated The Sun with authority and did so rightly. Pagans did not “associate” The Sun with regal power - they discovered that The Sun IS a sign of regal power, because truly it is not that humans project signs and meanings unto things but rather the universe, the whole universe, is nothing but a mysterious gallery of symbols the meaning of which is heavily obscured and discerned only by The Wise. The wise and pious are gifted with the correct meanings of the symbols by The Artist who made them, that is to say, by God.
Could God have made the world in any other way but in leaving signs of Himself in His creation? Far be it from me to place limitations on Him, but it seems that it is intrinsic to the very act of creation that when a creator creates they leave subtle signs of themselves and their nature in what they have created. So it is with God, that He has left signs of His Nature in this Creation of His that we inhabit.
Those who sincerely love wisdom and God will ultimately have nothing unknown to them, and the ignorant and arrogant will stumble around in this universe made of symbols and signs without ever understanding the truth that lies perpetually in their faces. Those who hate God look at a star, a tree, a person, an event, and never know what they see. Their long ponderings yield no truth to them, their agonized meditations only increase their confusion, and from this comes much suffering for themselves and for their followers. But the lover of God humbly asks the same questions and the meaning of things reveals itself to him at the right time. God Himself may tell such a man the answer in a way he cannot communicate to others. Many a wise man has gone on a long and solitary walk and heard the fullness of the truth in the rustling of autumn leaves and the sound of the ocean weaves, and when the foolish visit him to ask him what is the truth, he just tells them to listen to rustling leaves and ocean waves, and then he is counted by these fools as the most foolish of all.
This whole universe is just a a book of poetry with hidden meanings. The Pagans of yore demonstrate their virtuous piety by showing that they understood the meaning of The Sun, that it is a mysterious symbol of The Most High, that The Sun is a sign that the universe has its source in life-giving righteousness, a force that also exists in the hearts of virtuous men. Many mighty Pagan Kings of yore adopted the Sun as their personal emblem, and knew that the eye of the king of the realm is to be as the eye of The Sun: All-seeing, benevolent, above petty earthly concerns and thus ready to execute judgment. Sometimes these rulers were so just that in their ignorance and enthusiasm for good rulers, the people exulted these rulers as the highest of beings, the very eternal God made flesh as their political ruler, and in this they gravely erred, and so God destroyed proud and arrogant rulers who ignorantly thought of themselves as the highest as He did in The Book of Exodus with Pharaoh and as He did through the conquistadors in Peru, and indeed He humbled the Japanese Emperor as well during the second world war through the intermediary use of atomic bombs, though thankfully the Japanese Imperial Family still exists as a splendid living example of regal solarity after having been cleansed of the error that they themselves are the highest deity. May The Japanese and all Nations once again be directly ruled by solarian dynasties rather than petty democracies!
Cultures that saw the most important divinity as living under the Earth, as in many African cultures, were in communion with demonic entities in times past. These entities shaped these cultures and the consciousness of these peoples. For example, the Basotho people of South Africa regard as their primary patron and object of worship an entity named Thobega who resides underground. The criminality of Sub-Saharan Africans, their relentless proclivity towards every type of wickedness, is due partly to the continued influence of Demons upon these peoples which still lingers even after they are forcefully brought into subjection to a higher and more accurate conception of Divinity as The Christians have (though the mainstream Christian conception is still hardly perfect). Race realists will attribute the negative qualities of Africans to genetics, and they are not necessarily wrong in doing this, but genetics and spirituality are deeply interconnected at every level. Peoples like The Japanese or The Northern Europeans who revered celestial forces since the remotest antiquities were more in touch with God from the very beginning, and thus can be very virtuous even without established systems of religion, indeed for such peoples the established systems of religion can be obstacles to true spiritual growth and experience since every established religion has conceptual limitations and errors embedded within it (which doesn’t mean established religions are bad in themselves). Many among those higher peoples ought to just follow their intuition. The advice “trust your heart” is the right advice for the man of higher race, but it is fatal to give that advice to the lower race of man who is always afflicted by chaotic desires from within. To tell the man of higher race to trust his heart is to liberate him to pursue enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings, to tell the man of lower race to trust his heart is a death sentence for himself and everyone he comes into contact with.
Ethnocultures that made the correct choice in primordial times to revere celestial rather than subterranean things were honing powerful philosophical skills, and those who revered subterranean things have been in error for millennia, a habit that is hard to break. These downward oriented cultures were shaped by Demons, their ancestral lore is informed by demonic whispers, and they have an ancient fear of having their wicked deeds discovered and thus they are afraid of light and hate the truth, as is befitting creatures of darkness. These cultures practice their most “sacred” savage rites in secret dark chambers away from the prying eyes of the just. For such people, the awakening of conscience is an event of pure terror that must be avoided at all costs.
As we discussed previously, the objects of The Natural World are literally alive and they worship The Supreme God. Whether that is so because these very objects are the literal bodies of spirits or if that is so because these objects have spirits who govern them is an interesting question that is beyond my present ability to answer, though I hope one day to have enough wisdom to answer this question definitively. The spirit of sun, moon, star, and lightning happily received veneration from their pagan worshippers and passed this along to their Divine Lord and ours. Cultures that were celestial in their orientation were in touch with luminous beings of glory from time immemorial. They were prepared to receive greater revelations than the natural world could provide for them just on its own, such as the reality that God had descended as an Avatar, Jesus Christ, The Eternal Son of God. Sometimes people of these cultures could not make the next step of discerning the spiritual reality that The Sun is only meant to signify, and so they wound up revering The Sun or some other natural force as the highest of entities, a grave error, and though all error must be cast aside in the quest for truth, some errors rank higher on the hierarchy of errors than others, and to mistake The Sun as the highest being can be but a noble mistake.
God gave Man multiple means to discern Him, the chief among them being The Natural World and The Scriptures. Those who don’t strive to balance both of these means of revelation tend towards errors on either extreme. Those who think only the Natural World is a form of divine revelation tend to think this world is nothing but a chaotic play of forces with no higher order or purpose, and those who think The Scriptures are the only form of divine revelation tend to lose themselves in sterile abstractions that are divorced from reality. In our time, the latter error is far more prevalent, and I would say it is a far more dangerous error overall. It is easier to convert a Pagan to The Divinely Revealed Truth than a Liberal. Majority of Churches today teach that we must tolerate such severely demonic ideas as the notion that gender isn’t real, that we must allow alien races to live among us and do what they like, that swift and violent punishment for those who teach these vile ideas isn’t acceptable. How could someone ever believe in such nonsense unless they were divorced from Nature? A man connected to Nature would never see those ideas as anything but pure madness. The Liberal Christian has neglected the study of God’s other divine work, The Natural World, and thus they study The Scriptures in vain. They worship a false god, and Nature’s God will annihilate them.
Reconnecting with Nature is a quintessential, perhaps the most quintessential, requirement for reconnecting with God in the modern world. What better way to do this than to venerate (not worship) The Sun? To do this we must love The Sun as it is while also recognizing Whom it signifies, He who is even greater than The Sun while also being present in it. All that we must do is love it to the extent that it is naturally due as Justice demands. When we are in the midst of giving The Sun the reverence it is due, ignorant Christians will think we are committing pure Pagan idolatry, because they do not understand the difference between respectful veneration and worship. That is fine - let them misunderstand us, I have never been concerned with whether these mainstream Christians understand me. To venerate is to recognize that a being is higher than you on the cosmic hierarchy of being though they are not the very highest being, and to worship is to recognize He who is higher than All. When we mistake the Supreme Being for some other being, we commit the fatal error of idolatry. The line between veneration and worship is thin, thin like a knife’s edge, but it is the key to all spiritual sophistication. In their overzealousness to correctly render worship unto The Supreme Being only, the Abrahamists have commit injustice by not venerating those beings that ought to be venerated such as The Sun and have even insulted The Sun and other mighty beings - a grave error, one that offends The Supreme Being because He made The Sun and other spirits of the natural world to be worthy of our veneration. These nature spirits are our teachers, guardians, and elders in God’s Family.
This summer that has passed I spent as much time as I could in The Sun, not as much as I would like because I must work. But my skin got bronzed from The Sun’s life-giving rays, and they made me much more energetic. Consciousness and energy are tied at every level, so if you want to ascend in consciousness you must also necessarily ascend in energy, and energy can be given through The Sun. I was not used to seeking Sunlight in this manner, and found it to be awkward at times. I would go to secluded places in the wilderness and try to expose as much of my skin to The Sun as possible I felt that as I did so that God was taking care of me, that men are cursed for spurning His Free Gift of sunlight as surely as they are cursed for rejecting His Free Gift of salvation. I hope to get to know The Sun better over the years. By recognizing The Sun as higher than us but still underneath The Supreme Being, we give him the honour that he is due.
I exhort you, my dear reader, to seek out The Sun and venerate him. I warn you against worshipping “The Sun God” but rather tell you to worship The Sun’s God. There are likely more than a few sunny days still left to come even though we are now in Autumn. If you can, expose yourself to The Sun and thank God for him. This will delight both The Sun and The Supreme Being. Breathe in the rays of the sun, the energy of the sun, into your third eye and into your heart so that it might banish all the mustiness of modernity that has crept in there. By being acquainted with The Sun, we take on a solar nature, as we always become like those we associate with. By having a solar nature we will be better equipped to be servants of God, as our Elder Sun is. The Sun will be happy to spend time with you and to heal you. Know him that you might know his Master.
May God and the gods bless you. Aum / Amen.

Such a great article!
I have always felt a connection to the Sun's energy, and bathing in its rays always made me feel loved and at peace. It is indeed better to venerate it, and worship God. I also appreciated your idea that all religions are messengers of the true God; they are fragments of the whole. While growing up Catholic, I acknowledge that this institution has flaws. This, however, did not separate me from God, as I have experienced His blessings throughout my short time on this world.
